FORGOTTEN AGATHA CHRISTIE MURDER MYSTERY WITH A TWIST GETS NEW UK STREAMING HOME

Agatha Christie's forgotten murder mystery Agatha and the Truth of Murder has landed a new streaming home in the UK. The 1920s-set movie follows the renowned writer herself as she becomes entangled in a real-life murder case.

Written by Tom Dalton, the drama stars Ruth Bradley as Christie, who is called in to investigate the shocking death of Florence Nightingale's niece. While undercover, Christie comes face to face with a number of intriguing and suspicious characters, each with their own motive for killing the young woman.

Meanwhile, the author's 11-day disappearance causes a nationwide search for her whereabouts. Will she solve the crime before her true identity is uncovered?

Agatha and the Truth of Murder originally debuted on Channel 5 in 2018. Now, the movie is available to stream in the UK on Prime Video.

Starring alongside Bradley is Emmerdale's Dean Andrews, Bebe Cave, The Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison, Pippa Haywood, Harry Potter actor Ralph Ineson, and Game of Thrones' Samantha Spiro and Michael McElhatton.

Another added: "This is a cheeky bit of fun, isn't it? Writer Tom Dalton and director Terry Loane have concocted a splendid murder mystery modeled after Agatha Christie, but here centering her as a protagonist."

While a fourth said: "The plot, while not too great, was really still enjoyable. And it was entertaining to watch the great creator of Poirot and Marple to be the one in action herself!"
