It's been a tremendously long wait, but the fourth season of The Witcher is very nearly upon us, and Netflix has now unveiled a full trailer as we get a glimpse of Liam Hemsworth in the lead role.
It was announced way back in October 2022 that Hemsworth would replace Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, but it has taken an eternity – well, three years to be precise – for him to make his debut as the beloved character.
With the fantasy series set to return to Netflix later this month, the streamer has unveiled the first full-length trailer of the action, with Geralt embarking on a major journey to save Ciri (Freya Allan).
"After the Continent-altering events of season three, Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri find themselves separated by a raging war and countless enemies," reads the logline for the fourth season.
"As their paths diverge, and their goals sharpen, they stumble on unexpected allies eager to join their journeys. And if they can accept these found families, they just might have a chance at reuniting for good."

The season will consist of eight instalments, with Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, Tricia Brock, Alex Garcia Lopez and Jeremy Webb splitting directing duties across the various parts. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who created the series, once again serves as showrunner.
Allan, who has also appeared in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and The Third Day, previously spoke about how she was "dreading" the fourth season of the show, but soon had her spirits lifted when it came to filming.

"I was dreading it for a while if I'm honest, but now I'm on it and we have, thank God, a great director starting us off which has made it so much fun," she told ComicBook. "There's so much great stuff to play. I'm actually quite happy."
The actor also paid tribute to her new co-star Hemsworth, saying: "He's lovely. Really really sweet. Really grounded person." With all eyes set to be on the pair later this month, how will they fare on-screen?
The Witcher season 4 premieres on Netflix on 30 October.
