GLASTONBURY DAY 4 HIGHLIGHTS FROM COLDPLAY'S RECORD-BREAKING GIG TO KASABIAN'S SURPRISE

Glastonbury festival 2024 day four has been full of surprises – including Kasabian shocking fans and Coldplay bringing Michael J Fox on stage.

The Viva La Vida hitmakers, who have made history as the only band to headline the festival five times, thrilled fans with an epic set, that saw a tribute to Back To The Future star Fox as he played guitar on stage.

Their performance followed a busy Saturday line-up on the Pyramid Stage with performances from Little Simz, Michael Kiwanuka, Keane, Cyndi Lauper and more.

Rapper Little Simz told fans to ‘understand that you are witnessing greatness’, while Girls Just Want To Have Fun’s Cyndi declared her love for Britain.

Other surprises during the day and into the night included Sam Smith taking to the stage during Disclosure’s set, and Kasabian playing a surprise set with their classics and a preview of their new album.

The Indie rockers, who headlined on the Pyramid Stage in 2014, performed on the Woodsies Stage, formerly known as the John Peel Stage, following days of speculation they were the ‘secret show’ listed as TBA on the stage line-up.

Elsewhere, newsreader Ros Atkins delivered a drum and bass version of the BBC News theme song, Camila Cabello had ice lollies rubbed all over her by her backing dancers, while there were also performances from Russell Crowe, Jessie Ware, and Keane.

And of course, we had the weird and wonderful flags and costumes dotted around the festival.

Pop star Dua Lipa was the headline act on the stage on Friday night, and on Sunday night American singer-songwriter SZA will headline, with Shania Twain in the Legends slot.

Celebrities photographed enjoying the music through the weekend include actress Anya Taylor-Joy, Oasis star Noel Gallagher, Louis Tomlinson, Idris Elba and more.

Now there’s just one more day of music, celeb spotting, and the weird and wonderful world of Glastonbury 2024.
