HOW LOVE ISLAND STARS SPEND THEIR DAYS OFF AWAY FROM THE CAMERAS

Love Island fans may be wondering what the stars get up to away from the cameras. Airing just one hour an evening, it is obvious fans at home do not get to see everything that goes on within the villa.

But the question on most viewers' minds is what do they do on their days off? Love Island airs every day except on a Saturday, meaning the stars have a day away from the cameras and away from filming.

But what they get up to remains a mystery to many fans. Viewers at home do not see what goes on during their downtime, but past islanders have often opened up about their experiences away from the camera.

Megan Forte Clarke, who was one of the first islanders to be dumped this season, referenced having a McDonald's planned on their "down day" just before her exit and some have even mentioned time away from the villa.

A former Love Islander has now shared what they get up to when the cameras stop filming.

Harriett Blackmore appeared on Love Island in 2024 alongside Ronnie Vint and Ayo Odukoya. Speaking on the Saving Grace Podcast with G.K Barry, she revealed some Love Island secrets.

She said: "We do have days off but they're not set, it just depends how much filming." When asked what exactly the islanders get up to away from the cameras, she added: "You just like chill out I guess, relax, like a lot of us girls did like hair wash day and stuff like that and the boys would just go in the gym."

Georgia Steel, who was on the show back in 2018, also shared her experience away from the cameras as she spoke exclusively to Closer where she revealed the boys and girls would be kept apart. She added: "There would be hair cuts scheduled in, there'll be nails scheduled in."

She also admitted: "eBay would come in and we'd be able to pick some bits from there to wear for the following days." Often, fans take to social media to share their thoughts, with the days off often coming as a surprise to some.

Recently on Reddit, fans noticed Toni's nails seemed to change quite frequently before they found out she would have them done. Having their say on the islanders' days off, one fan wrote on Reddit: "What happens on Saturdays if they aren’t filming?

"The islanders just hang out and try not to have any drama so that it’s all saved up for Sunday? Like what if one of the couples had a huge blowout fight."
