JIM DAVIDSON TO DIVORCE HIS FIFTH WIFE AS COMEDIAN'S WORKLOAD TAKES TOLL
Jim exclusively told the Express: "We have decided to separate with a view to divorce. It is amicable, if these things ever can be amicable. No one else is involved, not even lawyers at this stage."
The comedian, 69, broke the news on Facebook on Friday. He will make a statement today on his Sunday Sandwich show on streamer Ustreme.
On Friday night, Jim told an audience in Hampshire: "I'm only doing half the set tonight because my wife will want the other half."
Off-stage he admitted: "It's sad but you've got to crack on."
The star, once the face of BBC One's Saturday night entertainment, has spent "many millions" on his divorces and was declared bankrupt in 2006.
He once quipped: "On quiet nights, when I'm alone, I like to run our wedding video backwards, to watch myself walk out of the church a free man."
A spokesman said: "With Jim spending so much time away gigging and working on his TV channel, the split is only natural."
