American comic and author Chelsea Handler has lifted the lid on dating 50 Cent.
The pair briefly dated in 2011 after the rapper was a guest on Chelsea’s talk show.
Following 50 Cent’s appearance on the show, Chelsea went back to her office to find ‘dozens of roses’ left by the Candy Shop rapper.
Speaking on House Guest with Scott Evans, Chelsea detailed how 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson, ‘convinced’ her to date him.
She said: ‘It was like a Friday that he was a guest, I think, and then I came in over the weekend and there were like dozens and dozens of roses in my office.
‘My assistant was like, “Curtis Cent has called three times.”‘
Chelsea admitted she was confused as to who Curtis Cent was, with her assistant quickly explaining it was ‘Fiddy.’
The comic went on to admit that she wasn’t interested in responding to 50 Cent’s calls, but went on to note that he was ‘sweet’ and it ‘felt different’ to other times men hit on her.
She said: ‘He was sweet ’cause he seemed gangster, but he wasn’t a gangster. Like the fact that he was shot so many times, you’re like: “How did you get shot?” Like that doesn’t make any sense.
The pair ended up meeting in New Orleans, where Chelsea had a show.
At the meeting, Chelsea asked 50 to go for a walk, with the rapper quick to respond that he ‘can’t really go for a walk outside.’
‘I was like: “I think you can. Get over yourself,”‘ Chelsea shared, ‘We go for a walk and it was crazy, like every person we saw was like, “50 Cent!” I didn’t get it. I didn’t know. We’re in New Orleans and everyone knew him.
