BINGEABLE NEW SERIES WITH PERFECT SCORE BRANDED "LOVABLE AND STRANGE" BREAKS INTO NETFLIX'S UK CHART

North of North, the bingeable new series, which has been branded "lovable and strange" by critics, has broken into Netflix's UK chart.

Currently sitting in ninth place in the streaming service's top ten programmes in the UK chart, the show has received a perfect score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes from 11 reviews.

North of North follows a young Inuk woman named Siaja, who is played by True Detective's Anna Lambe, as she attempts to build a future for herself following a public divorce.

"An optimistic young woman embarks on a journey to reinvent herself in her tiny Arctic hometown, where everyone knows each other’s business," reads the synopsis.

Joining Lambe on the cast are Maika Harper, Braeden Clarke, Jay Ryan, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Zorga Qaunaq, Bailey Poching, and Kelly William.

Created by Stacey Aglok MacDonald and Alethea Arnaquq-Baril, the show sees Anya Adams, Aleysa Young, Renuka Jeyapalan, Zoe Leigh Hopkins, and Danis Goulet take on directing duties.

So far, the show has been popular among critics, who have praised the "heartwarming" comedy for its bingeability and humour.

Movies and Munchies said of the comedy series: "The comedy works thanks to witty writing and dialog delivery, and the cast is an awesome mix of lovable and strange. If you’ve been needing something light, heartwarming, and bingeable, certainly add North of North to your watchlist."

In its review, The Hollywood Reporter said: "North of North is unassuming in its humor, only occasionally provoking full-on belly laughs or delivering memorably quotable lines. But I found, as I kept watching, that what was near-constant was the smile on my face."

The Boston Globe said: "North of North is just plain interesting. The first season may be overburdened with exposition establishing how these characters live their lives, but it shows promise as a place to visit."

Rolling Stone added: "It’s not reinventing television, but between its setting and its star, it carves out a welcoming space for itself."

"Big feelings, turbulence and life-changing dilemmas abound, but most of all the show wants to make its people, and you, happy," penned The Los Angeles Times.

RogerEbert.com wrote: "A mostly winning exploration of Inuit culture, the stressful limitations of life in a small town, and the heartbreaking intersection between who you are and who you want to be."

North of North is available to stream now on Netflix.
