CHRIS MCCAUSLAND LANDS GUEST ROLE ON ICONIC BBC SHOW
Chris McCausland has landed a guest role on Have I Got News For You.
The comedian and reigning Strictly Come Dancing champion will be featuring as a guest panellist on the popular BBC show on 23rd May.
Hosted by Victoria Coren Mitchell, the episode will mark McCausland's 7th appearance on the show, while fellow guest panellist Janet Street-Porter will be appearing for the 18th time.
Series 69 of Have I Got News For You kicked off last month and has seen the likes of Phil Wang, Steph McGovern, Helen Lewis, Ian Smith, Julian Clary, Jemima Kelly, Jo Brand and Richard Osman among its guest stars.
Meanwhile, David Tennant, Sue Perkins, Angela Rippon, Katherine Parkinson, Martin Clunes and Alexander Armstrong have each served as host, alongside team captains Paul Merton and Ian Hislop.

Elsewhere, McCausland has been confirmed as the presenter of an upcoming BBC documentary, titled Seeing into the Future. The hour-long show will follow the star as he explores his own personal relationship with technology on a trip from across the UK to Silicon Valley.
"He can crack jokes, he can dance, he has hosted his own TV shows… but his real passion is technology," reads the synopsis. "Chris has a condition called retinitis pigmentosa which led him to gradually lose his sight from birth. By his early twenties, he was completely blind.

"It is this that has led Chris to his unique relationship with technology. Whereas for sighted people, innovations such as the iPhone and voice interactive smart assistants are nice things to have, for Chris, they have been life changing."
In a statement, the comedian described himself as a "tech nerd", saying he can't wait to "finally get to count this indulgence as work".
He expressed his excitement about trying out the latest gadgets, adding: "I'm also going to try and make friends with some robots, because it probably won't be long until they're in charge of us all."
Chris McCausland's episode of Have I Got News For You will air on 23 May at 9pm on BBC One and will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
