DIANNE BUSWELL ISSUES UPDATE ON STRICTLY COME DANCING FUTURE AFTER NINE YEARS

Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell has addressed her future on the dancefloor, confirming she has no intention of stepping away.

The Aussie star, who is expecting her first child with partner Joe Sugg, has been a staple in the BBC ballroom show's professional line-up since 2017 and isn't ready to hang up her dancing shoes just yet.

During an appearance on spin-off It Takes Two on Monday (November 10), Dianne declared: "This is my ninth year of Strictly and honestly it always still feels like the first year. Everyone is like, 'When are you gonna leave?' I'm like, 'No! How many more years can I do?' That's the question."

This year, Dianne was partnered with Neighbours icon Stefan Dennis on Strictly. However, the actor, who is famed for his role as Paul Robinson on Ramsay Street, had to bow out early due to a calf injury.

Dianne featured on It Takes Two in a Best of segment, reminiscing about some of her standout moments from her tenure on the show, reports Wales Online.

She fondly recalled the 2024 series, when she clinched the Glitterball trophy alongside her celebrity partner, comedian Chris McCausland, who made history as the show's first blind contestant.

The dancer shared that their waltz will "always have a special place in my heart", adding: "It was so powerful, it gives me goosebumps."

She also reflected on meeting her partner Joe on Strictly, as he was a contestant back in 2018.

"Strictly has definitely changed my life in more ways than one," she confessed. "I met my wonderful partner in 2018 and we have been together ever since."

The couple are now eagerly awaiting the arrival of a baby boy, with Dianne expressing: "To be the first dancer to be performing live on Strictly pregnant is really empowering."

She continued: "It is quite cool to say to my future son, 'I actually danced with you in my tummy there.' It's all documented, he could go back and watch it all from day dot when his mum and dad met, which is so cool."
