HOUSEHOLD NAME OF 00S TV MAKES SHOCK MOVE JOINING DRAGONS' DEN LINE-UP

A host of stars are set to join Dragons’ Den as the latest guest judges on the BBC series, and one of them is a household name from the 2000s.

More than two decades ago, fashion exerpts Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine soared to fame on their TV programme What Not To Wear, helping people across the nation gain a greater understanding of their sartorial choices.

Now, Trinny is embarking on a new venture – appearing as a Guest Dragon on Dragons’ Den, to consider making investments in the businesses of budding entrepreneurs, alongsideresident dragons Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman, Sara Davies and Steven Bartlett

She’s going to be joined by other guest stars Joe Wicks, who has become one of the best-known names in fitness in the country, and Emma Grede, who is a founding partner of Kim Kardashian’s retail business Skims.

Speaking about her new role, TV style guru Trinny, 60, said: ‘I’m delighted to join the next series of Dragons’ Den as a guest dragon and look forward to discovering the fantastic ideas and passion that the entrepreneurs will bring to the table.’

The CEO of the beauty brand Trinny London added: ‘I’m looking forward to sharing insights from my own entrepreneurial journey and hope I can play a part in helping these businesses achieve their goals.’

Also on the panel will be Joe, 38, who gained a greater platform from his already-successful YouTube channel when he created free workouts for people across the nation to do during lockdown.

In a statement expressing his excitement, The Body Coach – as Joe is also known – said: ‘I can’t wait to step into the Den as a Guest Dragon and meet all the brilliant and passionate entrepreneurs

‘My own journey has shown me that with the right mindset and a lot of hard work, anything is possible.

‘I’m really looking forward to sharing my experiences and hopefully helping some amazing businesses reach their full potential.’

Joe published his first cookbook in 2015, Lean in 15, after gaining success on social media for his workout videos and quick healthy dinner recipes.

He quickly gained a larger social media following which skyrocketed during lockdown when he became a ‘PE teacher to the nation.’

His work throughout the pandemic led him to be awarded an MBE for services to fitness and charity.

Retail entrepreneur Emma, 41, will also be returning to the show after appearing on season 21 – which also featured Gary Neville.

As well as being a founding partner of Skims, Emma is also the co-founder & CEO of Khloe Kardashian’s clothing company Good American and Founding Partner of Skims.

The businesswoman was also named one of American’s richest self-made women by Forbes in 2023.

‘I’m so happy to be back in the Den. This show is all about opening up the world of business and providing a platform for emerging entrepreneurs who might not otherwise have the opportunity,’ she said.

‘I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know and support the people and businesses I discovered last time around, and I can’t wait to do it all again!’

Speaking about the new guest hosts on the show, Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC, said: ‘They are three extraordinary entrepreneurs whose expertise and passion will ignite excitement and inspire the next generation of business leaders.

‘I can’t wait to see what they bring to the Den.’

If The Body Coach’s schedule wasn’t busy enough, Joe recently welcomed another child, with his wife Rosie.

Joe announced the happy news with a touching Instagram post on June 17 captioned: ‘Today at 9.30am we welcomed our 4th baby into the world. A little boy weighing 7lbs 13oz ☺️ Rosie gave birth at home.

The couple now has two sons and two daughters, Indie, five, Marley, three, and Leni, one.

Dragons’ Den will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer in 2025.
