I'M A CELEBRITY STAR TURNED DOWN ANOTHER HUGE REALITY TV SERIES 'IT WAS A STRAIGHT NO'

The cast for I'm A Celebrity 2025 has finally been unveiled, but one of the celebrities was offered a spot on a completely different reality TV show before agreeing to take part in the Australian jungle adventure.

Rapper Aitch has landed in Australia, ready to join hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly and his fellow contestants for weeks of Bushtucker Trials.

However, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! - you can see the full line-up here - wasn't the only ITV programme that had courted the star. According to The Sun, Aitch disclosed that back in 2019 that television executives had invited him to participate in the reality dating show Love Island.

In a previous interview on Capital Breakfast radio, he confessed: "I got asked to go on Love Island. No word of a lie," reports WalesOnline.

Had he accepted, Aitch would have joined the ranks of winner Amber Rose Gill and Molly-Mae Hague, who is arguably one of the most well-known stars to emerge from Love Island, but he admitted he "didn't have the body".

He went on to say: "Obviously it would have been funny, I did think about it. It was a 'no' straight away, but it would have been very funny."

Aitch, whose real name is Harrison Armstrong, is a Manchester native who launched his successful career at the age of 15. In 2023, he won the British Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act award at The Brits.

Aitch has scored nine Top Ten hits and collaborated with big names like Ed Sheeran and Stormzy.

A TV insider has revealed about the rapper's latest endeavour: "Aitch has a massive following among teenagers and 20-somethings and bosses will be hoping he'll bring a new generation of fans.

"He'll make for great viewing as he has a plethora of stories from his time in the music industry.

"He's also known for having a sharp wit which will keep his campmates and viewers entertained.

"Producers want a broad appeal for audiences at home, and he forms part of the bid to have celebrities of all ages taking part."

Upon landing in Australia donned in a black Adidas hoodie, he disclosed what he'll miss most while in camp.

Speaking to the Mirror, he said he has been to Australia "plenty of times" adding: "I love it over here. I don't mind snakes... snake on toast? It's all right that, innit? I'm gonna miss my sister - even though she's a little s***."

He further added: "What do I want to say to my fans? I just want to shout them all out and say, 'What's going on everyone?' I'll be back home soon.

"If I'm not, then somebody needs to have a word."

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! starts on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday, November 16
