JACK RYAN SERIES ON AMAZON FACING MAJOR CHANGE AHEAD OF SEASON 3

Weeks after season three of Jack Ryan was confirmed, former showrunner Carlton Cuse has stepped down from his main duties.

It's reported that Cuse, who's been the driving force behind Jack Ryan's adventures on the small screen, is stepping back from his showrunner role (via Deadline).

Although no longer the spy drama's big boss, Cuse is expected to remain involved as an executive producer alongside the series' star John Krasinski.

A third season of the punchy action series was announced in February, despite fans still waiting to get a look at season two. Krasinski will, of course, be back as Tom Clancy's reluctant CIA analyst, abandoning his desk job once more.

Jack Ryan's third season is expected to follow its eponymous hero as he attempts to track terrorists around the globe, defying death along the way.

Last year, show bosses Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland gave fans an idea of what to expect in Jack Ryan's new season, promising a "wholly different story" in a wholly different location.

Cuse explained that his approach was to frame each season "like a different book in the series", but who knows what the future holds for season three?

Jack Ryan season 1 is available now on Amazon Prime Video.
