NETFLIX'S 'PERFECT FAMILY CHRISTMAS FILM' WITH SUCCESSION LEGEND NOW STREAMING

A "absolutely phenomenal" Christmas film has landed on Netflix, with viewers comparing it to receiving a "warm hug".

Acclaimed director and screenwriter Richard Curtis has crafted some of the most beloved films of the past two decades, from the Bridget Jones' Diary series to the utterly charming Notting Hill.

However, many will remember he's also behind the ensemble Christmas romantic comedy Love Actually, which audiences revisit religiously each festive season.

Now another yuletide offering from Curtis has arrived on Netflix, this time centring around a picturesque coastal town struck by a snowstorm, "setting off entwined tales of family, friends, love and loneliness - and Santa making a big mistake".

If the charming storyline and Curtis' track record aren't sufficient to draw you in, then the star-studded voice cast certainly will, featuring Succession legend Brian Cox taking centre stage as Father Christmas.

Alongside Cox in the animated feature That Christmas are Killing Eve's Fiona Shaw, Love Actually favourite Bill Nighy, Doctor Who and Broadchurch actress Jodie Whittaker, and I'm A Celebrity's Jordan North.

The wholesome film draws from Curtis' trilogy of children's books sharing the same title.

Viewers have been rushing to IMDb to heap praise on the production, with one declaring: "This might very well be the best Christmas movie of all time."

Another gushed: "Absolutely phenomenal Christmas movie with lots of heart, humor, Christmas atmosphere and some great little stories to boot."

Another viewer chimed in: "This is a 10/10 BEST original animated Christmas film I have seen in decades.

"Just do yourself a favour and watch this movie!" a third fan urged.

"It's a beautifully made, heartwarming and uplifting tale. An instant Christmas Classic!"

One person dubbed it the "perfect family Christmas film", while another simply stated: "Loved it, like a warm hug."

A further comment read: "The best Christmas animated film I've seen since Arthur Christmas, heart warming and super festive."

They went on to describe it as not just a "must watch" but a "heartwarming British classic".

That Christmas is now available to stream on Netflix.
