PARAMORE'S HAYLEY WILLIAMS REVEALS SHE'S SECRETLY A HUGE FAN OF GOGGLEBOX

Hayley Williams has revealed that she's a huge fan of Gogglebox. The singer, 36, who is best known as the lead vocalist of US rock band Paramore, is fascinated by the Channel 4 programme that has become a hit for the broadcaster over the last decade.

The format sees everyday families sit down in front of the television and tune into the latest programming to get their reactions. The show made a star out of Scarlett Moffatt, who went on to win I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, and also turned families like the Siddiquis and the Malones, as well as into TV regulars.

Explaining the format to Mean Girls star Amy Poehler, Hayley said: "So imagine Amy and I are like, we’re watching television together, and all these cameras are still here, which honestly sounds terrifying, but like it’s just families and friends watching TV, commenting on what they’re seeing.

“And some of it is like, you know, soap opera type s*** and other times it’s like Boris Johnson."

Amy responded: "Yeah, I often see some clips of like heavy, beautiful scenes where like a young teen is coming out to his parents and then they’ll show all the different reactions, and you think like, oh this very blue collar family is going to have a tough time with it and they never do."

During an appearance on Amy's Good Hang podcast, Hayley added: "Oh my God, England is just full of angels," and the Saturday Night Live comedienne joked: "Well, according to Gogglebox!"

The surprising admission did not go unnoticed by fans, who insisted that Hayley would be a great addition to the programme, which also has a celebrity-based spin-off, which this year will feature the likes of Doctor Who legend David Tennant, Academy Award winner Kieran Culkin, and Traitors star Jonathan Ross, amongst a host of others.

One wrote on social media: "The concept of Hayley Williams knowing Mary and Giles," and a second said: "It’s an amazing show. Come Dine With Me is awesome too!"

A third added: "This is far-fetched but wouldn’t be amazing if she appeared in Celebrity Gogglebox?!" and a fourth joked: "You’re correct we are ALL angels over here (laughing face emoji)"

The most recent one-off episode of Celebrity Gogglebox was in partnership with Stand Up To Cancer. Fronted by Adam Hills and Davina McCall, plus a host of guests, the live broadcast featured special editions of Celebrity Gogglebox and The Last Leg, alongside moving stories, performances and fundraising moments as celebrities and the public unite to raise money for life-saving cancer research.

But while Channel 4 often shows celebs in houses they claim to be their own, a location agency previously revealed its secrets. As reported last year by OK! magazine, London location agency 1st Option confirmed that homes are often rented by the producers for security purposes.
