Joyous news, dear reader! After House of the Dragon's insane season finale nearly two years ago (!!!), the fan-favourite series is officially making its way back to our screens for its highly-anticipated second season on 16th June. Loosely based on George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood and set 200 years before everything on Game of Thrones went down, this prequel follows the House Targaryen's journey toward the Iron Throne. Stars like Emma D'Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, and Fabien Frankel are returning while new faces like Abubakar Salim, Gayle Rankin, and Freddie Fox join the ranks this season.
So! Because the show is coming back *checks watch* like, right now, you're probably wondering when you can carve out your schedule for some season 2 watch time. Ahead, find out when new episodes of House of the Dragon season 2 drop.
Season 2 of House of the Dragon premieres at 9pm on Sunday 16th June in the US, which translates to 2am on Monday 17th June on Sky Atlantic and NOW. Thankfully, they're going to broadcast the episodes at the more socially acceptable time of 9pm, or you can stream them any time on Monday as you please. Woo!
Great Q! While season 1 had 10 episodes, there will only be 8 new episodes in House of the Dragon season 2.
