X FACTOR STAR UNRECOGNISABLE 17 YEARS AFTER ITV SHOW AS FANS SAY 'LOOKING GOOD'

The X Factor fans took a trip down memory lane earlier this week as one former star reminisced about their time on the show.

Show watchers will remember contestant, Eoghan Quigg, who was a finalist in the fifth series of the music talent contest in 2008 finishing in third place. Alexandra Burke was crowned the winner and boyband JLS finished as runners-up.

Taking to Instagram, Eoghan, who is now 33, poked fun at his time on the show in a fun video.

In the clip, it sees Eoghan come out of his festive themed front door with the audio "every f**king person in this place fancies me" to which a written caption reads: "POV - arriving back in Ireland after The X Factor in 2008."

Eoghan captioned the clip with: "Where are all the Quigglets at these days?" with eyes and laughing emojis.

In the video, Eoghan looks unrecognisable 17 years after finding fame on the show as he sported full sleeve tattoos on both arms, facial hair and lighter shorter hair.

Responding in the comments, one person wrote: "POV: also in 2025" with laughing emojis, a different account put: "I'm still here. Always have been since 2008", another fan commented: "Looking good Eoghan xxxxx" with heart emojis while a different person added: "Legend hahah."

Eoghan is best remembered for his stint on The X Factor in 2008, where he came third behind JLS and winner Alexandra Burke. At just 15, he was known for his "baby face and crazy hair."

Reflecting on his time on the hit show last year, Eoghan said he has "so many fond memories" of being a contestant on it – and considers himself "one of the lucky ones" for having a good overall experience.

Despite this, he stated he would never let his own children go on reality TV – because there is a "lot more negativity around" compared to when he was on the show.

Eoghan, who also represented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014 and finished second, believes he's found "a happy medium". He still performs with a band at weddings, but he said that his "wee family" is now his top priority.

It comes as Eoghan and his long-term love Amy Campbell said 'I do' in Las Vegas earlier this year. The newlyweds shared the exciting news on social media on Sunday, 9 March, with a video captioned: "So we've been keeping a little secret. What happens in Vegas..."

The clip shows Eoghan and Amy during their romantic proposal in New York on February 28, before switching to the newlyweds outside a chapel in Las Vegas.

The pair, who have been an item since 2015, have two children together.

They welcomed son Camden in April 2023 and daughter Emmy Belle in April 2021, while Amy is also mum to children Cooper and Milla from a previous relationship.
