YOU SHOULD BINGE-WATCH ANNA MAXWELL MARTIN'S BELOVED SITCOM BRANDED 'ONE OF THE BEST IN LAST 10 YEARS'
Anna Maxwell Martin's beloved BBC sitcom Motherland is available to binge-watch on a number of streaming services.
Premiering in 2017, Motherland offers up a comedic take on the trials and tribulations of modern motherhood, following a group of "alpha moms" as they navigate life.
The logline reads: "A group of "alpha moms" navigate the challenges of parenthood and try to balance their social and professional lives despite frequent hang-ups and misunderstandings."
Running between 2017 and 2022, the series, which won the 2022 BAFTA for best scripted comedy, also received two Christmas specials, before news of its cancellation was confirmed in 2024.
Joining Maxwell Martin on the cast are stars including Paul Ready, Philippa Dunne, Tanya Moodie, Diane Morgan and Lucy Punch.

All three series of Motherland are available to watch in full after being re-added to Disney+ earlier this year. It is also available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
Written by Graham Linehan, Sharon Horgan, Helen Serafinowicz and Holly Walsh, the series was hugely popular among audiences and critics alike.
In their review of the series, The Mirror branded Motherland 'one of the best in the last 10 years', saying: "If you’re a parent who has ever felt that having kids who are at school is a bit like being back at school yourself, I cannot recommend BBC2’s Motherland highly enough.

"Even if you’re not a parent you should still give this sitcom a go. It’s one of the best TV comedies I’ve seen in the last ten years."
Earlier this year, the show received a spin-off series on BBC One titled Amandaland, which follows a freshly divorced Amanda (Lucy Punch) as she attempts to navigate life as a mother to teenagers.
The spin-off was praised by viewers, who called it "chaotic, hilarious and thoroughly enjoyable."
Motherland is available to stream on Disney+ and BBC iPlayer.
