Eamonn Holmes has shared a heart-breaking message to his friends and fans. This is the GB News presenter's first Mother's Day since losing his mum, Josie.
Eamonn shared a sweet video of his late mother to Instagram. He included in the caption: "This is my first year without a Mother on Mother’s Day," with a teary-eye emoji.
The former This Morning star sadly lost his mum in November 2022. He shared his heart-breaking Mother's Day message last night, urging people not to forget their own mothers today.

Eamonn wrote in the full caption of his post: "This is my first year without a Mother on Mother’s Day. But I did an interview last year where I said how much I loved her. How glad I am I did. As you can see she seemed pretty happy. If you still have a Mum . Give her a hug from me and don’t forget her tomorrow."
In the video, Josie can be seen reading a copy of The Telegraph, in which Eamonn spoke about his love for her as his mother. Sending a video message back to him, she thanked Eamonn and said: "I hope I was as good a mum as you have put." She also showed her sense of humour as she added: ""So son at least you've done something right, at last." And sweetly, she said to her TV presenter son: "Thank you very much love, and I love you too."
Eamonn announced the death of his mum on Instagram last year, November 19. He wrote in the post: "My 4 amazing brothers and I said Goodbye for the last time to our beautiful Mum Josie this afternoon. She's at last reunited with Daddy now. That is our only consolation. We loved and will miss her so much. Every time I visited her she came to the door to bless me with Holy Water and Wave goodbye. Now sadly it really is Goodbye Mummy."
The Northern-Irish born star has been struggling with his own health over recent months and wife Ruth Langsford revealed on Loose Women he was unable to travel over to Northern Ireland for his mum's funeral. She said earlier this year: "It's not secret that he was struggling with bulging discs, then he had a back operation which is always a nerve-wracking moment and then a few days after that he fell down the stairs and broke his shoulder... Then very sadly his mum passed away in the middle of all that so it's been a terrible time."
Fans flooded the comments in support of Eamonn on this sad Mother's Day weekend, writing: "My heart breaks for you but what wonderful video. She must have been so proud of you. Not just your success but the wonderful person you are." This Morning star Alison Hammond put: "Thinking of you," and Vanessa Feltz wrote: "Sending you so much love. This is my 18th year without my beautiful mother. She was just 57 when she passed away. I miss her every day. Huge hugs my darling friend."
