Microsoft has officially pulled the curtain back on the new Xbox Game Pass games coming as part of the September 2024 Wave 1 lineup, which, combined with the games confirmed for the second-half of the month, means that fans now have seven games to look forward to in the coming weeks. New Xbox Game Pass games are announced at the beginning of every month, with Microsoft using the opportunity to highlight all the new games coming to the service in the next couple of weeks.

It reminds fans that Star Trucker is available now, while Age of Mythology: Retold is coming on September 4. Expeditions: A MudRunner Game is joining the Game Pass lineup on September 5, to be followed by Riders Republic on September 11. The final game making up the Xbox Game Pass September 2024 Wave 1 lineup is Train Sim World 5, though two other games have already been confirmed for the second half of the month.

While they weren't part of the Wave 1 announcement, we know that Frostpunk 2 is coming to Game Pass on September 20, with Ara: History Untold coming on September 24. Both games are going to be PC only at release, though console versions are also in development. Release dates for the console versions of the games are not available at the time of this writing, but more information should come to light in the months ahead.
This fall should be a pretty busy one for Xbox Game Pass. The October 2024 lineup has yet to really take shape, but subscribers already know that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is coming to Game Pass Ultimate as a day one game, with STALKER 2 joining the service on November 20.
