LFC ANNOUNCE U-TURN AHEAD OF FINAL TAYLOR SWIFT ANFIELD GIG

Liverpool FC have announced a change for fans attending Taylor’s Swift’s final Anfield gig.

Last night saw Taylor halt the gig at one stage to thank the stunning crowd as she spoke of her one regret about the city. Thousands of fans attended yesterday and were given a warning about buying alcohol.

On the club’s X account, it said: "If you're attending any of the remaining concerts at Anfield please be aware that provisional driving licences cannot be accepted as proof of age to purchase alcohol at the stadium. Please bring alternative ID."

A provisional driving licence is government approved so is widely accepted as a form of identification. The club responded to a fan query to confirm a full driving licence is accepted as a form of ID at the event.

However, now the club has reversed its decision. On the Liverpool FC Help account, which helps fans with enquiries relating to gigs and football matches, the club said earlier this afternoon: “For all Taylor Swift fans attending tonight. The decision has been taken that provisional driving licences will be accepted for ID for alcohol.”

As on previous days, hundreds of Swifties got to Anfield very early hoping to either get a good stand spot in front of the stage or get their hands on merchandise from the LFC club shop.

Queues began to form in Paisley Square by the Main Stand to get into the stadium and outside the club shop, off Walton Breck Road. However, this was disrupted by some ‘biblical’ rain.
