GLASTONBURY 2024'S DRINK PRICES REVEALED WITH WATER AND ALCOHOL COSTING ALMOST THE SAME

Glastonbury 2024 has finally kicked off! But while the festival promises an impressive line-up, including Dua Lipa and Coldplay, the drink prices are often the first thing to catch festivalgoers attention.

The 200,000 revellers descending on Worthy Park hoping to down back to back pints or grab even a bottle of water to cool down will pay the price for this most basic form of hydration.

Pints of draught options won't be too shocking to those heading to Somerset from London, with prices ranging from £6.50 to £7.

But a small 330ml can or a 500ml bottle of water, which normally retails from 70p-£1, is more than double the price at £2.50. Although there are stations available to refill personal water bottles or purchase a 'Glastonbury' one for £7.50.

The soft drinks are a similar price to the alcohol.

The Glastobation X account shows that half pints of draught beer range from £3.30 to £3.50, whereas soft drinks like Coca Cola, lemonade and orange juice, which you can get in your local pub or restaurant for £1.70 are priced at £3.00 for half a pint.

Meanwhile, want to keep your energy up at the lengthy festival? A 250ml can of Red Bull, which normally costs £1.70, is a staggering £4.75.

High spirits takes on new meaning at the festival as they are another costly option.

A 25ml spirit and mixer setting festival-goers back £7.75, and a double costing £12.50. If Red Bull is chosen as a mixer, the price jumps to £9.75 for a single and £13.50 for a double. A single serving of spirits on the rocks will cost £5.75.

However, cans of mocktails the likes of Erdinger Alkoholfrei (500ml) or Absolut Espresso Martini (200ml), are the usual price range Londoners are used to of between £5.25 and £8.

As gates open today (June 26) with soaring temperatures expected, festivalgoers will be swarming the bars, but with these prices it clearly won't just be the heat that breaks them out in a sweat.
