and first moved into Sunninghill Park in Ascot after they married in 1986. The couple raised Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie in this home from 1988 until 2004.

The family stayed there until 2004, despite the Duke and Duchess of York divorcing eight years prior in 1996.

In 2004, Prince Andrew moved into Royal Lodge in Windsor, the former home of the Queen Mother who died in 2002.

Sarah stayed at Sunninghill but eventually left in 2007 for Dolphin House in Englefield Green, Surrey.

The Duchess rented this home, which was a tactical choice as Royal Lodge where her ex-husband lived was less than a mile away.

However, Fergie would only live at Dolphin House for a year for a very sad reason.

In January 2008, the fire brigade was called to the Duchess's Surrey home after a fire started in the bathroom.

A spokeswoman for Surrey Fire Service told the BBC at the time: "We were called to Dolphin House at 12.43pm yesterday, where there was a small fire in the bathroom."

It was understood at the time that Fergie was luckily not at home when the fire took place.

The fire was reported to have been extinguished at 1.30pm in the afternoon, 47 minutes after the fire brigade was called.

Luckily, no one was injured by the incident, but nevertheless, Fergie had to leave her home due to the extent of the damage.

Therefore, Sarah moved into Royal Lodge with Prince Andrew, where the couple still spends time to this day.

Sarah was said to have left Royal Lodge in 2015 and relocated into a £13million chalet she and the Duke of York owned in Verbier, Switzerland.

She reportedly applied for residency in Switzerland in 2016.

Sarah also keeps a room at Royal Lodge and a rented flat in London's Eaton Square.

In 2022, the Duchess of York bought a property in Mayfair that is said to be an investment for Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

Fergie's new home is reported to be very nice inside, no doubt due to the beautiful location of Mayfair.

The home, despite currently being a residence for the Duchess of York, will eventually be inherited by Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi currently live in a home in The Cotswolds with their one-year-old daughter Sienna.

Eugenie on the other hand lives in Portugal part-time with her husband Jack Brooksbank and two-year-old son August.

The 32-year-old is currently expecting her second child, and is reported to be moving into Frogmore Cottage, the former home of Meghan and Harry.
