While Ronaldo has reached global stardom thanks to his skills on the field, the legendary forward almost became a part of a well-known Hollywood movie franchise.

Vin Diesel reveals a role was written for Cristiano Ronaldo in a Fast and Furious spin-off film

Aside from Ronaldo’s sensational football skills, the Portuguese superstar is one of the most charming athletes of all time. Keeping that in mind, it’s a surprise that CR7 hasn’t been a part of a movie franchise.

However, Hollywood superstar Vin Diesel revealed that Ronaldo almost became a part of the iconic Fast and Furious franchise.

Indeed, Diesel revealed via a recent Instagram post that a role was written for Ronaldo for the 2009 movie, Los Bandoleros.

“Everyone asked, would he be in the Fast mythology… I gotta tell you, he is a real one. We wrote a role for him in Los Bandoleros…,” Diesel stated.

It would have been an unforgettable experience to see the top goalscorer of all time be a part of the Fast and Furious franchise.

However, there’s still hope as the rumour mill is full of Los Bandoleros 2 being in the works until the 11th movie in the franchise releases.

Cristiano Ronaldo went through the biggest transfer move of his career in 2009

If Ronaldo had accepted Diesel’s proposal to feature in the Los Bandoleros, it would have been the perfect timing.

After all, the short film was released on July 28, 2009, in the United States of America. At the same time, Ronaldo had begun his football journey in Spain.

CR7 joined Real Madrid from Manchester United for a then-record transfer fee of £80 million on July 06, 2009.

Becoming a part of the Fast and Furious franchise in the same year that he joined Los Blancos would have shot up his popularity even further.
