JACK OSBOURNE'S MUM SHARON REACTS TO I'M A CELEBRITY MOVE MONTHS AFTER OZZY'S DEATH

Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack has opened up about taking part on I’m a Celebrity in the wake of the singer’s death. The star says he is going into camp with the full support of his mum Sharon and sister Kelly after their heartbreaking year.

The 40-year-old is entering the jungle later this week just four months after the death of his rock star father at the age of 76. He says they will be tuning in to watch him on the programme, and that they have told him the show will take his mind off things.

“Mum and Kelly, yeah they are absolutely going to be watching. They are supportive,” he says. He also confesses he will miss them terribly, alongside his wife and family, not least as he won’t be able to call them. Jack adds: “It’s absolutely going to be hard leaving them behind. I have got lots of kids, my wife, and my family still in the wake of my dad passing. It is going to be difficult, that is for sure.

“It’s not the longest amount of time I’ve been away from them. I’ve gone on different trips filming Adrenaline Junkie for nearly two months without a phone, but I still had access to one and I was able to make calls home. It’s going to be very difficult not speaking to my wife and kids. But yes, I do hope I can make my family proud.”

But despite admitting he is feeling ‘very nervous’ about what lies ahead, Jack says he is looking forward to throwing himself into jungle life. He says: “I definitely had to think about doing this programme.

"It’s an absolute commitment but the real reason why it is popular is people sit at home saying, ‘Could I do that?’, so I think a lot of why I’ve said ‘yes’ is the intrigue and how would I survive that? I am very nervous though!”

Jack says he hopes the experience can be “transformative.” He adds: “A lot of people who have done this programme have had a really profound experience.” Although he admits that he can “pretty sh***y” when he is worn out, he says it will be “ case by case, but generally I am a pretty positive person.”

As for how he would feel if he walked away as the new ‘King of the Jungle’, he replies: “It’s a hard one to say if I am honest but if anything, if you do win, a lot of people would have voted for you, so you would be very flattered.”

Other contestants expected to be taking part include Emmerdale's Lisa Riley, ex-EastEnder Shona McGarty, musician Martin Kemp, comedian Ruby Wax, TV presenter Alex Scott and TV personality Jack Osbourne. They are also expected to be joined by comedian Eddie Kadi, rapper Aitch, and presenter Vogue Williams.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will once again be returning to host the hit series, which is in its 25th year. A source close to the show said: “Producers are expected to pull out the stops to ensure the 25th series is the most memorable yet.”
