British Christmas movie Anna and the Apocalypse has just landed on Netflix. The movie, which was hailed as a "must-see" by Digital Spy, was originally released back in 2018.
Now 7 years later, fans in the UK and Ireland can watch the modern classic on the streamer after it was added to the service today – just in time for the festive season.
Starring Dickinson's Ella Hunt and Murder Island's Malcolm Cumming, the movie follows two best friends who team up to fight when a zombie apocalypse threatens their sleepy town of Little Haven around Christmas-time.
In our review of the movie, DS wrote: "If we told you that one of the best Christmas movies of recent years would be a high-school musical set in Scotland during a zombie apocalypse, you'd be forgiven for thinking we'd got started on the sherry a bit too early."
However, it "manages to bring together all of its elements into a winning blend of heart, humour and huge musical numbers, making it a must-see Christmas movie".

JoBlo called it "one of the best Christmas films", adding: "Get yourself a mug of hot chocolate, give yourself room to rock out, and enjoy the best Christmas movie with Rocky Horror Picture Show vibes."
Rolling Stone further suggested it was "exactly the zombie-filled teen-angst holiday musical you've been looking for", and one for viewers who "like a splash of gore and a parade of flesh-eating zombies between musical numbers".
In other festive film news, Netflix movie Champagne Problems has become a hit on the streamer following its release last month.
Starring Minka Kelly and Tom Wozniczka, the film follows a businesswoman who travels to France to secure a deal with a champagne brand, though things get complicated when she falls for the son of the company's founder.
One viewer called it "genuinely lovely", while another suggested it was "delightful and refreshing", adding: "A lot of different, whimsical characters, who make the backdrop of this movie enjoyable."
Anna and the Apocalypse is streaming now on Netflix in the UK and Ireland.
