SALEM’S LOT: JAMES WAN PRODUCES NEW STEPHEN KING ADAPTATION

Be prepared to hide behind a cushion because there’s a new film adaptation of Stephen King’s 1975 bestselling novel Salem’s Lot and boy does it have a horror movie pedigree behind it, with the producing teams behind The Conjuring universe and the It films all on board.

The movie follows author Ben Mears who, haunted by an incident from his childhood, returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book, only to discover the town is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire and his loyal servant.

Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation, The Nun, It and It Chapter Two writer Gary Dauberman writes, directs, and executive produces the film. It stars Lewis Pullman (Outer Range), Makenzie Leigh (Gotham), Alfre Woodard (See), Bill Camp (The Outsider), John Benjamin Hickey (Jessica Jones), Nicholas Crovetti (Boy Kills World), Jordan Preston Carter (The Haves and the Have Nots), William Sadler (Bill & Ted Face the Music), Spencer Treat Clark (Glass), Cade Woodward (A Quiet Place), Debra Christofferson (Outcast) and Pilou Asbæ (Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom).

The movie is being produced by James Wan (Saw) and Michael Clear (Malignant), Roy Lee (Barbarian) and Mark Wolper (Bates Motel).

Salem’s Lot will be released in the UK on 11 October 2024 by Warner Bros. Pictures
