The news also confirms that the Londoner will hit the road once her 100-show Las Vegas residency finishes next June. A source from the singer’s team tells us: “Taylor is a phenomenal artist – Adele loves what she’s done with the Eras tour movie.
“They’re very different artists, so we’ll have to wait and see how Adele can put her own spin on it. She’s really enjoying live audiences, so when Las Vegas is finished I think she’ll be hitting the road again.” It also means Adele is out of the running for a return to Glasto, after headlining Worthy Farm in 2016.
The source adds: “We’ve done Glastonbury and it was phenomenal, so I don’t think she’ll do that again. She’s not an artist that likes to go back – she likes to make a splash, then move on to something else.”
It comes after Adele revealed that she is extending her Las Vegas residency, having now scheduled additional performances next year which are being billed as "the final shows".
The singer-songwriter, 35, launched her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in the city last year. It was due to conclude next month on November 4, but it's now been revealed that she'll perform at the venue next year.
She's set to perform at the theatre in the US from January 19 to June 15 next year. It's been announced that an additional 32 dates have been scheduled overall for the residency in Nevada, as revealed by Ticketmaster this week.
Adele announced the extension of her residency on Instagram, sharing that tickets will go on sale next week on October 26. Fans have been asked to register for the ticket sale in advance, with registration open until October 23.
Information provided by Ticketmaster over the new dates reads: "[Adele] is asking fans to register for the ticket sale to: help block bots and scalpers, get more tickets to real people who want to attend the show [and] reduce resale."
It further states: "Registration does not, however, guarantee that everyone who registers will get to access the sale or purchase tickets. Some fans will be randomly selected to get access and others will be placed on a waitlist."
The new dates have been announced as including January 19-20 and 26-27, as well as February 2-3, 9-10, 16-17 and 23-24. There's also due to be shows at the venue on March 1-2, 8-9, 15-16, 22-23 and 29-30. Additionally, there's set to be shows on May 17-18, 24-25 and 31. The residency is set to conclude in June, with shows on 1, 7-8 and then 14-15.2023-11-11T20:33:26Z dg43tfdfdgfd
