MEGHAN MARKLE SENDS SURPRISE MESSAGE TO UK TV PRESENTER

Meghan Markle sent a surprise message to a UK TV presenter after her husband Prince Harry's lip-sync video. In a surprise to royal fans just last week, Prince Harry appeared on The Late Show with host Stephen Colbert.

As well as appearing on the show, Harry and Colbert also filmed a lip-sync video using audio from a 2024 exchange from the Great British Bake Off New Year's Day special between TV presenter Alison Hammond and Irish contestant Mark Lutton. The exchange saw Alison mishear what Mark said when talking about what he would want her to do if he were King for a day.

Harry and Colbert lip-synced to this audio clip, with the video quickly going viral. It was also shared on Instagram by Harry's wife Meghan Markle.

Meghan tagged Alison, 50, in the video on Instagram, which then saw Alison get a message in her direct messages.

The TV presenter then sent Meghan a message saying: "I love this."

The Duchess then replied with a heart emoji, Alison revealed on Loose Women on Thursday.

Speaking about the message, Alison - who frequently hosts This Morning - said: "I said, 'I love this'. I thought I'd keep it cool. Not too much. I didn't want to beg it."

Alison then joked that she was now good friends with Meghan, saying: "I'm in there - am I in there?"

She then joked that she could help bring Meghan and Harry "together" with Prince William and Princess Catherine, and end their rumoured estrangement from one another.

While Alison has met Prince William and Princess Catherine before, it is not believed she has ever Meghan Markle, who quit royal life in 2020 alongside Prince Harry.

Meghan has not herself commented on the messages exchanged with the TV presenter.
