TV presenter Gabby Logan revealed her husband Kenny asked her "what are you doing?" over her late night TV watching habits.
With a high-profile job as one of the new presenters of the BBC's Match of the Day, and a clutch of other media rôles, Gabby might appear to lead a glamorous lifestyle.
However, juggling all those commitments can lead to some rather lengthy working days, and the 52 year old mother of two admits she sometimes finds herself creeping into bed beside her husband, former Scotland international rugby union player Kenny Logan, at quite antisocial hours.
Following her journey home after filming Match of the Day, she reveals she'll frequently ring her sister Louise, who resides in the US, so with the time difference "that's a good time to catch up."
Yet this means she can regularly find herself hitting the hay well past midnight.
"I try to sneak into bed without waking Kenny up," she told the Telegraph Magazine. "But recently I was so into something I'd been watching in the car. I tried to continue with it on my iPad in bed with ear-pods and Kenny said, 'What are you doing? It's 3.30am!'"
Gabby explains she's naturally an early bird, and is frequently up by 5:30am: "If it's an early filming day," she adds, "I'll get up even earlier for a bike ride."
She disclosed that, whilst she typically sleeps reasonably well, she's often troubled by anxiety dreams: "I had one recently where I was presenting Sports Personality of the Year, and I had no outfit, my hair and make-up hadn't been done. I was so relieved when I woke up!"
Being a BBC Sport presenter and wife to an ex-professional rugby player, as well as having 20 year old twins Reuben and Lois who are both heavily involved in the sporting world, Gabby's life is dominated by sport.
"If I'm not working," she reveals, "I'll go to watch the twins play sport. Reuben plays rugby for Sale Sharks and Lois is a competitive show-jumper.
"There are only three or four Saturdays in the whole year where I'm not watching sport."
The active lifestyles of Lois and Reuben help Gabby and Kenny maintain a bond with their children as they brace themselves for an empty nest.
The thought of them not being around is "going to feel a bit weird," she confessed to Hello! Magazine. She's particularly going to miss Lois, who was always lending a hand: "I always say she's so easy to live with; she's just so helpful, dropping off parcels, getting my dry-cleaning. It was amazing."
On the other hand, Gabby admits that Reuben was more prone to creating chaos than cleaning it up: "When Reuben left, it wasn't quite the same," she expressed.
"I'm joking, but it was almost easier without him there, I could vacuum his room...I found out where all those pots had been hiding. Why are these in your bathroom drawer? Lois is very good at keeping in touch. With boys, you've got to be a bit more on them. They will send a message, but you've got to nudge a bit more!".
