Jimmy Carr has shared a major update about a series widely hailed as the funniest ever.
Last One Laughing UK dropped on Amazon Prime earlier this year, and saw ten comedians competing to make each other laugh without breaking into giggles themselves.
Based on the Japanese show Documental, and following other international formats, the six-part programme has already been reviewed for a second season.
Season one was won by Bob Mortimer, and saw Daisy May Cooper, Joe Lycett, Judi Love, Rob Beckett, Sara Pascoe, Lou Sanders, Joe Wilkinson, Harriet Kemsley and Richard Ayoade go up against each other, as well as guest appearances from Danny Dyer, Alison Hammond and Nick Mohammed.
Season two's cast has been confirmed as David Mitchell, Mel Giedroyc, Alan Carr, Romesh Ranganathan, Amy Gledhill, Maisie Adam, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Sam Campbell, Diane Morgan and Bob Mortimer returning.
Host Jimmy has now revealed the series has already been filmed, telling BBC Breakfast hosts Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt: "We've made the next season and it comes out next year.
"I'm very excited by it, it's really, really fun."
He went on: "It's such a simple premise, and again, it's the comedians really committed to it. They're really committed to going, 'Right, we're going to play this game and take it seriously'.
"I think comedians can be a little bit competitive, not with each other so much. There's something about comedy where you escape competition through authenticity."
Last One Laughing became one of Amazon Prime Video's biggest hits, acquiring 6.1million viewers in its first 28 days of streaming. It was also named best entertainment series at the Edinburgh TV Festival Awards.
"If you want an evening of laughs and nothing else then #LastOneLaughing on @primevideouk should be your first stop - and only stop. It’s insanely good and I cannot recommend it more. Innovate stuff here. 8/10," one fan recently praised.
Another said: "One of the best things I've watched in ages. Thanks @primevideouk #LastOneLaughing Actually cried laughing every episode."
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
