JURY DUTY ANNOUNCES COMMENTARY SPECIAL WITH JAMES MARSDEN

Get ready to head back to court as Amazon Prime have announced they're releasing a cast commentary edition of its hit series Jury Duty.

The special edition will feature commentary from its stars James Marsden, Ronald Gladden, Mekki Leeper, Cassandra Blair and Maria Russell as well as director Jake Szymanski.

The new commentary will detail exactly how the cast were able to pull off the carefully planned courtroom shenanigans, which saw series star Gladden tricked into thinking he was on an actual jury case.

The Truman Show-esque series saw Gladden, a San Diego based project manager, respond to an ad looking for eligible jurors to feature in a documentary about jury deliberation.

However everyone else is an hired actor, including Westworld star Marsden who plays an exaggerated version of himself, tasked with pranking Gladden through the means of practical jokes and increasingly bizarre requests.

The show, which went viral online due to its unique premise, ended with Gladden hilariously discovering the jury wasn't real and that everyone else had been aware of the ruse.

Fans have since speculated about the possibility of a second outing, which could prove difficult to replicate given the show's popularity.

Executive producer Nicholas Hatton has since weighed on the prospect of another season, revealing that it would be challenging, but not impossible.

"We could do more but it won't be the exact same format," he told Deadline.

"Tweaks will need to happen because the process of finding these wonderful real people involves a little bit of subterfuge and hyping up tracks and sort of pretending you're something that you're not. So you have to use a slightly different process every time and we have to keep that very, very secret."

Jury Duty is available to watch on Amazon Freevee and Prime Video.
