A former I'm A Celebrity star has hinted she would be happy to take part in All Stars. Telly legend, Scarlett Moffatt, who won series 16 in 2016, has revealed that if ITV bosses call her, she is more than willing to fly to South Africa.
Last year, it was reported that bosses had been hard at work planning for the upcoming series of All Stars, which, unlike the main version of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! is pre-recorded months before the show airs.
And while no specific date has been confirmed for its broadcast, hosts Ant and Dec have disclosed that the series will air in May. Reflecting on the new series, ITV said: "Campmates have already proved that they can survive the Australian jungle, but this is I'm A Celebrity… on a whole new level, it's where legends are made.
"The trials are tougher than ever, and the stakes couldn't be higher. With relentless twists and turns, the campmates will never know what's coming next. They will be faced with challenges at every turn, quickly learning that with big decisions come even bigger consequences…"
But could Scarlett Moffatt return to hopefully reclaim her crown, 10 years later? "I absolutely love the show," she told OK!, adding: "If I was to go back, I would just soak up every second again because I had such an amazing time the first time around."
Scarlett continued: "I was a kid, I'd just turned 25. I was starting out in this industry. I really feel like if I got the opportunity to do it again, I know myself more. And I think I would just try and enjoy [it]. I enjoyed it when I was last on, but I think I really worried a little bit because I was like 'Oh, I don't want this to go', I loved it so much that I didn't want it to end."
However, Scarlett says that if she were ever fortunate enough to return to the show, she would enjoy it even more. "I would just enjoy it for what it is and not be worried after," she commented. In a plea to ITV, she said: "Hopefully they put my name down – that would be nice if I was a thought... Just a thought for ITV."
Last year, Scarlett was overjoyed when Twitch streamer Angryginge won the show. The 24-year-old from Salford instantly became a hit with viewers across all age groups and secured him a massive 65 per cent of the public vote in the final.
"I think he's such a good role model for young kids," she said, adding: "In the world of Andrew Tate and toxic masculinity, Angryginge is what we need. I really look forward to seeing more of him on the telly.
"I think this is going to catapult him and I can't wait to watch. " Having Ginge, a Twitch streamer, on the show also allowed families to come together to watch TV again.
Scarlett explained: "A lot of my memories as a kid are of being in front of the telly. This is what I love about shows like I'm A Celeb, Strictly and The Traitors, telly you're all watching, where you feel part of something, where you get excited about messaging your friends or meeting up and going 'Did you watch last night?' It's like a sense of community, and I think telly is on the rise again.
"I think the way we watch telly has changed so much because of streaming services, but it really feels like there's a resurgence in terrestrial TV and I'm here for it."
