THE HANDMAID'S TALE STAR'S NEW GENRE-BENDING DRAMA GETS FIRST LOOK
A first-look at The Handmaid's Tale star Yvonne Strahovski's new series Teacup has been unveiled, alongside a release date.
The "genre-bending" new Peacock show, which also stars Grey's Anatomy's Scott Speedman, is focused on a group of people in Georgia who face a big threat.
In the eerie teaser, we are shown a portrait of a deer on the side of a teacup, though as it spins repeatedly, the animal is increasingly infested by a terrifying tentacle-like being.

The clip also reveals that the series will debut on Peacock on October 10 with two episodes.
A previous logline for the show revealed it follows “a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive”.
Strahovski takes on the role of Maggie Chenoweth, while Speedman will play James Chenoweth.

Also on board are Echo's Chaske Spencer, Yellowjackets' Luciano Leroux, Picket Fences' Kathy Baker, Evil's Boris McGiver, Single Parents' Caleb Dolden and Transplant's Emilie Bierre.
Teacup comes from writer and executive producer Ian McCulloch, with Aquaman's James Wan acting as an executive producer.
Teasing what to expect from the show, Wan said in a statement (via TVLine) that "Teacup defies easy labels".

The show is based on Robert McCammon's novel Stinger.
Strahovski is currently gearing up for the sixth and final season of The Handmaid's Tale, with filming due to begin this summer for a 2025 release.
Teacup will premiere on Peacock in the US on October 10.
