HUNDREDS of people flocked to Taunton, including dozens of food vendors and visitors from outside of town for the highly anticipated 2025 eat:festival.
On Saturday, May 10, from 9am to 4pm, eat:Festival returned to Taunton for another year of live music, fun and local food, beverages and products.
When discussing the event, an eat:Festival organiser said: "eat:Festivals are grown from the land around us. They bring the very best West Country food and drink producers and artisans together at festivals in town centres across Somerset, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Wiltshire, Devon, Dorset and Cornwall.
"At all our events, you can buy local food and drink direct from the producers in a welcoming environment. Fresh, good food has never been so important for our health and the strength of our community."

Around 100 food and drink producers, artists and artisans were set up around the Minster, Hammet Street and all up East Street to show off their unique wares. There was also live street entertainment for children.
Some of the numerous vendors at the event included: Chris and Lisa Jayne Lovett from Weston-super-Mare, showcasing their gluten-free products from their business The Gluten Free Cake Den; Samantha Robins, from Tiverton, running the Gluten Free Picnic Stall; Charline Marzin, from Devon, at the Westcountry Potters stall; Matt Taylor showcasing Taunton-based Dough Bros' products and Gemma Lewis from Bristol, showcasing her 12-year-old brownie business Dark Matters.
Additional stalls included: Drinks Kitchen Online - offering alcohol-free beverages; Taunton's Premium Distillery; Shrooms - which sells mushroom-based products and Somerset Charcuterie.
At the food festival, there was dedicated blue badge parking on Magdalene Street and access to the rear of the premises maintained via Magdalene Street.
The following roads were closed for the day: Magdelene Street; Church Square; Whirligig Lane; Hammet Stret; Fore Street (between the war memorial/North Street to the junction with East Street and East Street.
When asked how they found the 2025 eat:Festival a Somerset resident said: "I loved it. I loved that it brought people together. It was a great atmosphere, everyone was having a good time, the food quality and food choices were just inspiring and delicious. I just thought it was lovely."
