CELEBRITY GOGGLEBOX SIGNS UP HUGE HOLLYWOOD STARS IN 'SUCH A BIG MOMENT FOR SHOW'

Hollywood superstars are set to appear Celebrity Gogglebox. Bosses have gone all out to get the best line-up yet for this week’s one-off special and secured its biggest names yet. We can reveal movie hunk Josh Hartnett has signed up to take part.

The actor, famed for roles in Black Hawk Down and Pearl Harbour, will be on the show alongside wife and fellow film star Tamsin Egerton. Succession star Kieran Culkin, who won an Oscar for his role in the movie A Real Pain, will also be on the E4 show.

The actor, who also starred in Christmas classic Home Alone, is set to be on the sofa alongside his wife Jazz. Producers are thrilled they have bagged such big names for the episode.

An insider told Daily Star: "Getting Josh and Kieran on the show is such a coup. Everyone is absolutely thrilled about it. It’s such a big moment for the show."

The special is being filmed to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer. It will feature stories about people who have been affected by the disease.

The insider added: "Josh and Kieran wanted to be involved because it’s for such a great cause.

“Having them on the episode is bound to help raise more money."

The special will air as part of Stand Up To Cancer’s big fundraiser on Channel 4 on Friday (December 12). It will also feature a special episode of The Last Leg.

Speaking about his participation in the programme, Josh Hartnett said: "Tamsin introduced me to Gogglebox many years ago and I’ve been a fan ever since. Having the chance to sit with her, share a few laughs and inevitably say something that embarrasses us both, all while helping raise awareness for the worthiest of charities, is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. I’m incredibly excited to be a part of it, and to support Stand up to Cancer.”

Tamsin Egerton said: "We first started watching Gogglebox during lockdown in 2020, I found it so comforting watching other families around the country watching TV “with” us. It’s such a great cross-section of the UK. Ever since then, Josh and I have tried to watch it together whenever we can. I can’t wait to snuggle up on the sofa with him for such an important cause as Stand up to Cancer."

And there will be appearances from Clare Balding, Meera Syal, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Jessie J, Rosie Jones, Hugh Bonneville and Hannah Fry. The night will also feature a live link-up with a cancer clinic in Cambridge.

Davina, who recently revealed she was treated for breast cancer, will be doing interviews to raise awareness about check-ups on Cancer Clinic: Live.

She said: "I will be with incredible teams of medical professionals to demystify what happens inside a cancer clinic. Cancer Clinic: Live is about showing the reality of the incredible care, science and humanity of a cancer diagnosis, and reminding people that early diagnosis gives you options and hope."
