HUGE CROWDS EXPECTED AS BOMBED OUT CHURCH TO HOST FESTIVAL OF FIRE

A three-day fire festival is ready to set Liverpool city centre ablaze. Pyrotechnic artists from Bring The Fire will showcase their skills as part of Liverpool Fire Arts Festival 2025.

From Friday, May 9 to Sunday, May 11, the festival will combine fire artists and large-scale light projections by local award-winning immersive AV company, Focal Studios. The event will also cater to young children, providing entertainment for all ages.

Liverpool Fire Arts Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. The birthday event will include workshops, practice spaces and a fire gala, showcasing some of the best fire performers from across the UK.

Last year's Ignite The Night event drew huge crowds enjoying drumming groups, fire performances and a rhythm and flow showcase as part of the organiser's Bonfire Night celebrations.

A statement shared on the upcoming event's social media page reads: "A decade ago the stars aligned.

"We had a warehouse full of wonderful people and art, the fire was burning in our hearts and we didn't know the word impossible.

"We created a festival with the help from our friends, simply because we wanted to and simply because we could. We had no money, no experience, and no idea what we are doing but we just went for it! Somehow, thanks to the incredible community, passion, love and lots of hard work, we made it happen.

"It was beautiful, magical, simply one of the best days of my entire life. Life happened, 10 years later we are still here, doing what we love and wanting to bring the magic back. This time for good. To become part of what our beautiful city has to offer."

Community arts venue The Black-e will host the festival practice space, workshops and ticket registration. There will also be 'fire jam' with music and DJs at a secret location still be revealed.
