Titled Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris, the film follows a widowed cleaning lady in 1950s London who falls madly in love with a couture Dior dress.
Deciding she must have one on her own, acting legend Lesley Manville’s titular character embarks on an adventure to the French captial.
The heartwarming flick, which will leave you in floods of tears, sees Mrs. Harris change not only her outlook on life but the future of the House of Dior.
Filling out the rest of the cast is Isabelle Huppert, Lambert Wilson, Alba Baptista, Lucas Bravo, Ellen Thomas, Rose Williams and Jason Isaacs.
Over on Rotten Tomatoes, 94% of 175 critics' reviews were positive, with the website's consensus saying it’s ‘a good old-fashioned story charmingly told’.
After grossing $31.4 million around the world, the film would eventually win Best Costume Design at the British Independent Film Awards, with Manville nominated for a Golden Globes.
